Old Radeon 5670 crossfire I want to disconnect bridge

I have an old computer with Radeon 5670 cards that are giving me trouble. I would like to physically disconnect the crossfire bridge to see if one works. I just need a few more months to get money scratched together to get a new computer. I pulled on the bridge lightly and it didn't budge. I didn't want to break it. Thank you for your help.
