Hi is the powercolor myst worth it over a sapphire ghz with $30 price gap? I am only worried about the powercolor cooling but it sounds like a good deal can anyone help me out on how the card performs? I am upgrading my comp and also wondering what is a good mid size computer case for gaming and which 8 gb memory to go with? I already have asus m5a97 motherboard and amd fx6300 cpu picked out. I am going a lower budget gaming build and only have memory, video card and case left to pick. I would like to get the sapphire xt version but its way more expensive I belive. Please help.

The Myst edition (Tahiti LE) is not really a 7870, it's essentially a cut down 7950 which means it's more powerful than the regular GHz edition (which is a regular Pitcairn chip).

The 7870 XT is the best performer in its price range. The only disadvantage is that the Powercolor Tahiti card runs pretty warm, otherwise it's a great deal.

For memory a 2x4GB kit of G.Skill ram would be excellent, this should be nice (added a CPU cooler for future overclocking too)

Thanks for the reply, I saw those memory as well and I like how cheap they are but I looked up on the asus motherboard m5a97 r2.0 in the manual for what memory is workable on it and it does not list 12800CL9D-8GBXL but it does list 12800CL9D-8GBRL which is more expensive and looks the same. ALso I notice it says that ram is for INTEL it says it on the front of the package on either of those? I forgot to mention I also got the coolmaster hyper 2 EVO cpu cooler is that one good?

The 212 EVO is a pretty decent cooler and your motherboard should be compatible with the DDR3 RAM

This, plus if it runs too warm for you, you could always get an aftermarket cooler
