I bought msi 650ti boost twin frozr and now im starting to wonder how this boost technology helps me to get higher frame rates.

Lets take World of Tanks, game I played most. I played few hours and according to overlay I saw core clocks higher than 1033mhz only for few brief seconds. For 95% time or even more its 1033mhz.

I didnt do much ocing yet, only thing I did was give 50mhz more to core and same ammount to memory + raised power limit % to 110%.

Is this working as intended ? At what situations will I see maximum clocks to kick in for longer time ?

the "boost" feature generally means that the card has already been factory overclocked. I believe that card itself determines when to apply the "boost" based upon its perceived load.

So if I play game like World of Tanks which is not that heavy on the gpu but still has fps issues cause of bad engine I wont get this 100mhz or more boost even if I could really use it when fps drops ?

Also I dont see this 50mhz OC on the core I made its still 1033 but the 100mhz on memory seems to be on all the time as it shows 3100mhz instead of 3000 even in World of Tanks.

Your card is able to automatically boost its clock speed to 1098MHz when it wants to. But the amount is so small that performance improvement is negligible. Why worry about it?

Just overclock beyond the boost speed and you'll get a more noticeable improvement, without seeing your clocks jumping up and down.
