280x will dominate. 760 is based off of the 660TI but the 280x is more closer to the 680 or 770 in comparison. If you want to play multimonitor/high resolution i would get the 760 but it will be have less frames. The 280x is better, 280x is the 7970 if you compare to the 760 its beats it by a mile.

Actually 4GB is better than 3GB VRAM and that makes the most difference in GPU's performance. The 760 is a whole lot better
