Hey all,

I'm looking to upgrade to an Intel based system from a now 3 year old AMD system.

Use: Gaming and then the usual
Budget: £1000 (But the cheaper the better). Need to buy a monitor and OS with this (prefer windows7)
Preferred websites: Amazon.co.uk or Ebuyer.com
Purchasing by the end of this year.

I realise my budget allows me to get an overclockable system I.e 4670k but I'm not sure if I actually have the want or need to overclock. I can foresee buying BF4 and GTAV. But I think a 4570 would be sufficient for this?

I have put together a list of components I've been mulling over for the last few weeks:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/2HQ349PK6L809
Edit: this list comes to £900

The build contains a 4570 over a 4670 as I didn't read any noticeable differences to justify the £20 difference. Also, a GTX 770 is considerably more expensive than a GTX 760 for only about 5-10 more average FPS. Again I personally couldn't justify the price difference. But I could definitely be persuaded by someone with more knowledge!

Many thanks for your answers and opinions.

Matt.

it is a revision of your build
much cheaper, even includes GTX 770 (no, the difference is big compared to gtx 760)

Is 550W enough? And from your build I guess z87 is not worth it if not overclocking? What about other features, would they warrant spending a bit more on a z87 board that could allow me to overclock in the future if I ever wanted to?
