Hi

I'm trying to upgrade my pc so i can play games like BF4, ARMA 2 / Dayz and maybe Assassin's Creed 4. I'm currently getting like 20-40fps on BF4 and 5-25fps on arma 2 / Dayz.

This is my current gaming rig
GPU: Asus GTX660 2GB
CPU: AMD Phenom II X2 555 Black Edition 3.2GHz
RAM: 4GB (can't remember what brand)
MotherBoard: Asus M4N75TD Xtreme Desing

I thought upgrade to this

GPU: Asus GTX660 2GB (Same)
CPU: Intel Core i7 4770K 3.5 GHz LGA1150
RAM: G.Skill RipjawsX DDR3 1600 Mhz 8 GB X 2 (16GB)
MotherBoard: Gigabyte Z87P-D3 Intel Z87 LGA 1150 ATX

Will this gaming rig perform well in those games?
and is it worth of buying (I will spend around 450€).
and also will this be balaced gaming rig like there isn't much bottlenecking except CPU can be powerful because arma 2 / Dayz is VERY cpu heavy

thanks :)

If you want to make a worthwhile upgrade, I suggest:

An i5-4670K
8 GB of RAM (Unless you find 16 GB for a good price)
An SLI motherboard (extreme4, Fatal1ty, UD3H,)
A second 660

For a bit more money, you'll see a meaningful difference in performance.

To be quite honest, I would suggest spending less money on the processor (i7), and go with an i5. You won't really see a difference between the two (performance wise while gaming, and the i5 is ~$100 cheaper depending on where you live).
16GB of RAM is not necessary in a gaming rig, and it will also save you around $80.
I'd then spend that extra money and get a nothing 660 (SLI), and get a board that supports it.

thank's for your replys, but i think i want to go with i7 because my friend had quite powerful i5 while ago and he decided to buy i7 and he got significant performance increase and i think i would need more power that he needs because i do lot's of 3d modeling/rendering and video editing, recording gaming and play dayz which is very cpu heavy

and i'm buying my ram from my friend with 50euros
