Hello,

Thank you in advance for any assitance.

I am looking for a desktop computer for my small business. I edit high quality video often (several times a week) and convert into different format including DVD. Each converstion project takes my current machine 3-4 hours (Dell XPS i5 processor). I also have 2 DROBO PRO NAS devices connected to my computer but I still would like at least 2-3 TB Hard Drives. I multi task alot and also burn several dvds for clients. These are my most processor intensive tasks. I also watch HD video on the computer and use the basic office and web browsing programs. I don't game at all.

I'm not looking to build a computer but just looking to purchase one already put together. I was looking at the following:

This is a basic rig from Dell that looks like it would do the job.

I also like this one though it might be overkill for my needs

I would appreciate some opinions on desktops I could purchase for my needs.

I'm sorry but you have to know that prebuilt computers have one terrible part that brings it down. It will much easier if you build it yourself or a local computer store like NCIX or Newegg or any other well known one can build it for you. You can also use Origin or NCIX PC builder if you REALLY don't want to build it yourself.

The "overkill" PC you suggested was a gaming pc. NOT for rendering or any kind of editing and it had a terrible graphics card. The one I just gave you is something you can build yourself for better value. You require no skill or any knowledge of computers. Newegg has a tutorial on how to build it. And the one I gave you has an editing video card and processor too.
