I'm thinking of upgrading my graphics card, but don't know a whole lot about the subject. I'm trying to find a really good card with hopefully a decent price point. I am willing to spend a bit more if I need to.

I have my current card overclocked, but it's just not cutting it anymore. I'm switching to primarily PC gaming and want to invest some money to make it worth my while.

My system specs right now are:

Intel Core i5 3570k @3.40ghz
Motherboard-ASUSTek Model P8B75-M
32GB DDR3 RAM
Nvidia GeForce GTX 650

Well 800 would be my limit for now anyways, any higher than that is out of my budget range.

But the 290X does seem to be a very good card for the price. And that's without overclocking too.

true but. Look at how much the 7990 beats it http://www.hwcompare.com/16019/radeon-hd-7990-vs-radeon-r9-290x/ Than again I would only get a $300 card until something like that drops to $300

That is a good deal with the 8 free games, but I would imagine I've played them already. From the bit of research I've done it seems like the 290X offers a smoother experience.

That's a good idea but don't know if I can wait. I've been using cards that were just barely good enough for years and I need an upgrade now lol

yeah you should wait for one with 3rd party coolers. but if you really need it now. then get it and wait for 3rd party coolers. There is always a possibility 3rd party coolers will come out, and you can change it yourself.
