I'm building my first gaming computer but waiting for better deals on black friday to get more parts. I just got my MSI Gaming N770 TF 2GD5/OC GeForce GTX 770 2GB the other day. I'm wondering would it even be worth trying it out in my current computer? Or just wait until I get the rest of my new computer after black friday. I'm currently using a quad core 2.4Ghz Q6600 with only 4 gigs of ram and Radeon HD 6850 and able to play BF4 on lowest settings with around 30 fps. I know my cpu is already bottlenecking my 6850 so I don't know if I would even gain anything with the 770. But on the other hand at least I would know if my new gpu was doa or not. What do you guys think?

Wouldn't hurt to test if the GPU is working, just make sure that your power supply is up to the task if you want to test it

It should be fine. I havn't had any problems before and if I remember right I think its 750 watt.

As long as it's a decent one then you're fine. Might as well test it to see if it'll run properly

Allright thx for the help I'll probobly do that in the morning. Still curious if anyone thinks I'll get any increase in performance but I guess I'll find out when I try it lol.

Probably a few frames of improvement, in multithreaded games the Q6600 is still fairly usable xD
