Hi, I just bought this HP pavillion 500-199 for about 670$

I tought I could run games well but seems like the GPU is shitty.

I looked for a new GPU but they all recomend having a PSU of like 500w+ while mine have only 300w.

Would an std ATX psu fit in this case with any GPU ?

For the price is it fine to keep the computer and do the upgrades or I should refund it and buy a custom one ?

I attempted to look into your tower that you've purchased, you have okay specs from what I see. What games are you attempting to run?
You should be able to run games just may have to run them on low settings or medium low settings (which I used to do with factory builds).

I wouldn't recommend buying a GPU nor a PSU because your machine should function properly without them imo. If I recall correctly, if you swap parts in your factory build, you void your warranty if anything happens and go to back to the manufacturer.

In closing, as I said before, running the games on low to medium-low settings should solve your problem.

Thanks, the thing is I can't even run bf3 att 1080p at lowest possible setting and I would like to play bf4.. I think I'll just refund and buy a custom :S

Thats why you post here and give some specs that you believe are compatible or whatnot and we will guide you to a more proper build for your budget.
