Hi, I just bought this HP pavillion 500-199 for about 670$

I tought I could run games well but seems like the GPU is shitty.

I looked for a new GPU but they all recomend having a PSU of like 500w+ while mine have only 300w.

Would an std ATX psu fit in this case with any GPU ?

For the price is it fine to keep the computer and do the upgrades or I should refund it and buy a custom one ?

Thanks!

This is one of the main reasons why i really hate PC's from manufacturers.
They really give you shit for the price.
I myself would consider this as a scam, because when you build a custom PC, you can have much better hardware than this.

But yeah lets get to the point.

I would recommend you to buy the Club3D AMD Radeon HD7770 GPU.
And as PSU : Corsair CX430

The GPU is much better than your GPU and in fact i got the HD7770 as well.

The gaming performance and quality is extremely good for the price.
And the PSU is just a very good pick for gaming.
You can definitely rely on corsairs quality + this one is also pretty cheap.

Well.. with your answer I guess i'll just refund the computer and build my own one. Thank you for your reply I'll take a look at those hardwares. Another thing, if I build my own 'gaming pc' it will be as good as a pre built pc for other stuff ? Browsing video editting etc
