Seeking Assistance With First Custom Build

So, I have decided to try my hand at building my own gaming PC instead of having someone else put it together for me or buying a pre-built system. My budget is between $1200 and $1300 not including a monitor, keyboard, and mouse, as I am already all set with those components. This system will be primarily used to run games such as Battlefield 4 and Call of Duty: Ghosts and will be used to a lesser extent for streaming movies and TV shows. Below is a preliminary list of parts I came up with and any suggestions for improvement or critiques would be much appreciated. Figured it would be beyond stupid to pull the trigger and buy the parts without first getting advice from those with knowledge and actual experience, especially since I am not certain that everything is compatible.

CPU: Intel Core i5-4670K 3.4GHz Quad-Core Processor ($225.99 @ NCIX US)
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler ($29.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VI Hero ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($189.99 @ NCIX US)

Storage: Western Digital Caviar Black 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($89.60 @ Amazon)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 770 2GB Video Card ($349.99 @ Amazon)
Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ NCIX US)
Power Supply: Corsair CX 600W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($64.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Asus BC-12B1ST/BLK/B/AS Blu-Ray Reader, DVD/CD Writer ($59.99 @ NCIX US)

Total: $1233.51

Everything you listed is compatible, I would also go with a low profile memory with a big air-cooler. Since it appears you have a few extra hundred in your budget, i'd get a small SSD to put the OS on at least. It will increase your boot speed exponentially.
