been having a issue with artifacting/tearing screen looking glitchy. i have updated to the latest AMD drivers.

i can play the games for days without a issue, then it will pop up again. my temps on load for the GPU are around 40-50C

i do not have any examples since they go away so quickly.

i've run a kombuster stress test, it went to about 90C before i stopped it. (didn't want it going over 90C so i didn't break the card) and it didn't have any issues, it kept a solid 60FPS for about 15 minutes before i stopped it.

when i restart the game it wont show up for a while. is it a issue with the games themselves? or is the GPU bad? i've had it for a couple weeks now.

my specs are:
gigabyte z87x-ud4h
8GB corsair vengeance ddr3 1600 low profile
asus DC2T r9 280X (non matrix)
i5-4670k not overclocked.
corsair 750W 80gold plus

I have the same card and the problem is with some of the vram chips not having any kind of cooling at all. Normally they wouldn't need to be cooled but Asus has raised their voltage by 100mV. As well as memory clock by 100MhZ. This causes overheating and instability. You should see the vram temperature sensors with GPU-Z. Mine starts artifacting when vram hits 85C, which it does in about 10 minutes of gaming.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz2ybPrjhdw A good video on how to fix the cooling issue.

The other option would be to get another BIOS version which has stock settings.
