How are you guys?
I was looking at the forums for so long time but I couldn't find the answer for my problem.
Well, it's high time to change my old monitor for something newer. My current display is Eizo S1921 (PVA 19" panel, 20ms BWB time, likely 8ms G2G, 1280x1024 resolution).
I'd like to buy something bigger (22-23" Full HD is perfect I guess) and with response time lower than 5 ms or equals that value. Also, I wanna buy a bit faster monitor (as I calculated, 75hz is best for me because it's bigger than current 60hz and my PC could handle it better than 120hz).
Then we come to the panel. I don't really want to invest money for such old technology (TN), because I'm not competitive gamer. And as I saw, VA panels are slow (like mine), so I'm thinking about IPS panel (how about input lag here?). Or could I find something better for me?
Monitor's purpose would be:
- 50% working in Internet,
- 40% gaming,
- 10% other stuff like office and so on.
Referring to the gaming point, I play from time to time Call of Duty 2 more serious (where response time and little input lag is very important) and rarely other FPS (mostly newest single-players like BF4 or CoD:G).
I don't know how exact monitors depend on input lag, so I'd like to get your opinions in that case
Also, I would like to connect my current monitor as my second screen (PVA gets good angles), connecting to second DVI port. Wouldn't it be problem?
My PC is: Radeon HD6950 2GB (2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 2 DP), Intel Core i5 2500K, 8GB.
In new monitor I will also use DVI port. I'm using PC ~8 hrs/day.
I have found one model which looks interesting - LG IPS235. Do you guys have any personal opinions about it?
Of course I'm waiting for other proposals
Price same as in the title - ~$200.
