Hi everyone and thanks for taking the time to read this in advance. I'm in the process of building a new PC. Since black Friday sales are coming up I'm going to buy a display. I need help choosing between these two and also knowing the difference between the two if any.

I did some research and saw how text appears harder to read on PCs but it was being compared from like a 42" tv to a 24" monitor. But what if they're both the same size? .

Insignia™ - 24" TV

Samsung 24" LCD Monitor

Also they're both going to be the same price on Black Friday so one won't cost less than the other. Thanks

depends if your casual gamer or competitive. i use a 40" vizio as my main monitor but a also have a 27" asus 1ms 144hz 1080p monitor for battlefield and call of duty. just depends on what you do more.

Out of the two options the OP posted your comment doesn't really help lol

Ok. The LCD monitor you give there is a 5ms 1000:1 Contrast ratio LCD. The TV is a 1500 Contrast ratio LED TV. Now from personal experience with 24" full HD TV's I have to say that text and quality wise there won't be a big difference, if any, when comparing to a Monitor of that size and spec. Out of the two that you posted I would choose the TV due to the specs being a little better than that of the LCD you posted. Also you get the option to watch tv then and it has built in speakers etc.

Normally I would never consider a TV as a monitor. But due to how these two compare to each other the TV is actually better in my opinion.
