I can Ping but cant browse

I have a dell poweredge server 2950 which i Redhat Linux 6 is installed on. im trying to connect to the internet but im not able to browse although the Networking ICON at the far top right on my Monitor says its connected. I can ping Loopback, Hostname, Router IP address, I just cannot browse the internet. If anyone has a help pls leave me a message here or on my email, yomesky2000@yahoo.com. Thank u

1) Can you ping 8.8.8.8?
2) Can you ping google.com?

If you can ping 1) but not 2) then you have a DNS issue - ie IP's aren't resolving to DNS names.

If you can ping both, but you can't browse, then there is an issue with the browser. Clear the cache etc on the browser and/or use install a different browser.
