Hey guys,

I am planning on going 7680X1440 setup with 780 ti 3 way sli. Water cooling CPU and air cooling GPUs.

I am starting off with a single tempest overlord monitor, a single 780 ti, in a Thermaltake Level 10 GT case, all included in price at bottom.

I want premium parts. What would you change? Is this the correct start? I want there to be no hitches when putting it together.

CPU: Intel Core i7-3930K 3.2GHz 6-Core Processor ($479.99 @ Amazon)
CPU Cooler: Corsair H100i 77.0 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler ($105.99 @ Amazon)
Motherboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme EATX LGA2011 Motherboard ($429.99 @ Newegg)
Memory: Corsair Dominator Platinum 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-2400 Memory ($279.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Samsung 840 Pro Series 256GB 2.5" Solid State Disk ($219.99 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital BLACK SERIES 2TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($159.99 @ Newegg)
Video Card: EVGA GeForce GTX 780 Ti 3GB Video Card ($699.99)
Power Supply: Corsair 1200W 80+ Platinum Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($304.99 @ Amazon)
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer ($16.99 @ Newegg)
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 (OEM) (64-bit) ($189.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Thermaltake level 10 GT Case ($214.82)
Other: Overlord Tempest 27 inch 1440 Monitor ($499.00)
Total: $3601.72
(Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available.)

I considered the 290x but dont want to have heat or crossfire issues.

If you are price-no object, I would get the i7-4930K, Rampage IV Black Edition, and build your own liquid cooling loop to deal with the heat of 3xGTX 780ti's, finally, I recommend a Corsair 900D to house everything. If you need help, check out the watercooling sticky on the Overclocking section. I personally recommend EK Waterblocks for everything. My recommendation: EK Supremacy Elite 2011, (No GTX 780Ti waterblock yet), EK Res x3 480, 2xEK XTX 480 radiators, 16x corsair SP 120's, Laing D5 pump with top from EKWB.

Purpose of this build?
If this is plain gaming, then you are wasting a lot of money on un-necessary things.
One huge thing is the RAM. Whether this is for gaming, or CAD, or Sony Vegas, or whatever, you can buy a standard 16gb kit for ~$150.

Also, never go 3-way SLI. After 2-way SLI, it starts to scale badly. When you add a third GTX 780ti, you will have very little performance gains, if any.

Your system look like a very good start and should go together fine but i think you should change a few things..
-First like Nuclear101 said. Get a 900D easily the best case you can buy!!
-Change the cpu to a 4930k unless you want a huge overclock in witch case the the 3930 k will oc better but will run hotter..
-Get a swiftec h320 instead of the h100i its the same price but 10 times better and with this water cooler unlike the h100 you can modify it later when you got the cash!!
-make sure you buy 144hz monitors or at least 120hz..
Other than that you have one fucking sweet rig!! Goodluck
