Is my PC outdated?

Hello, I have a two year old computer and have been gaming on it. Recently, while playing games such as Bioshock Infinite or Batman Arkham Origins I notice severe fps drops. Here is my rig: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=uk&lc=en&docname=c03018247#N278

Except the 6GB ram part, my ram is 12GB.

Thanks for the reply! As I'm not familiar with specifications of computers(hence deciding to go for a pre-built PC), may I know what video card I should go for? Preferably NVIDIA.

Maybe you could post some actual FPSs to see if it is an issue or simply outdated? The 550 is still okay for gaming, but it is definitely not recommended for higher settings.
