Hi

So upgraded my old AMD CPU with a new i7 4770K. Every thing went nicely I stress tested the system at stock with Prime95 10 hours, no errors and the CPU around 47°C.
So I decided to overclock it a bit, I clocked the cpu @ 4.2 Ghz (1.2V) and did a stress test.
Got around 55°C and the fans on my h100i was around 60% (need it to be quiet).
I ran the test for 2 hours or so, after 15 minutes checked a last time before bed.
The system had overheated, I rebooted and and checked my temps during a stress test.
It quickly heated up to 90°C, didn't find out what was wrong so I reset everything back to stock.

And now the system randomly overheats at stock settings. Help please!

$10 says your BIOS is still set to 'Adaptive Voltage.' When using adaptive voltage and stress testing the motherboard tends to deliver more voltage then required thus overheating your processor
