Computer deletes permanently when delete button is pressed.

i have a problem. when i press delete on my key board my computer asks me if i want to permanently delete the file, but i just want to put it in the recycling bin. i dont know wut to do pls help. I even tried changing properties of recycle bin. It shows changed preference but still the problem persists...

Go to Run, and type in "regedit". Look for this NoRecycleFiles key and delete that entry. http://www.pctools.com/guides/registry/detail/1292/

What happens when you right click and delete? Not to familiar with XP anymore now that I've had windows 7 for 3 years. I know that in windows 7 if you hold SHIFT and hit delete it asks if you want to permanently delete the file, but not with pressing the delete key alone, just asks if you want to move to the recycling bin.
