Gaming monitor for Approx 150$?

Hi. I need help with a struggle that I'm having for the last few days. I'm searching for a monitor. A Monitor that offers good gaming performance, as it's what I will be doing the most with the computer I'm assembling. The specs for now are irrelevant as I need the screen to last for at least 3 years. It must be 1080p, and it must be able to last for at least 2 builds, as I'm planning on upgrading the main specs of the pc every 1.5 Years, and the screen in 3. But it's hard to find a screen. Some people say, go IPS, some say TN. And it confuses me. I don't think that I need more than 60Hz, since I'm not the best gamer out there, nor at the top league. Just play for fun. Also, I don't plan to go multi screen for gaming. Will add some other screens, but to game on the main one and keep skype, and other apps in the other screens. Any help would be gladly appreciated. Sorry for the long post or for any mistake or "misuse" of words and phrases, as It's not my native language and I wanted to express what I need as most accurate as possible. Again, thanks in advance.

get a IPS, it's much superior than TN

This is my fav monitor.. Though i dont own it but i ahve recommended to it to a few people and they all are happy with the results !

You really have two choices for 23/24" monitors. One you get a 5ms IPS monitor which has better color and depth. Or get a 2ms TN panel monitor which is fast but colors are still decent but not deep like IPS. Two good choices:

BOth are excellent. If I had to get one monitor then I'd probably go 5ms IPS cuz movies would look better.

I personally own the VS247H-P and I LOVE IT.
2ms response time, HDMI port and 1080p.. it's amazing.

Cons are a flimsy stand and the display is yellowish out of the box but you could easily adjust it.
