Is Mini Displayport and HDMI running on same card safe?

My graphics card has a HDMI and a Mini Display port. I have my Monitor plugged into the HDMI and I want to get a touch screen monitor. Can I plug the touch screen in the Mini Display port? Is it safe for the monitor and the computer if they are running on the same card?

Well its "safe" in the sense there will not be any damage. It depends on your card if it will support it or not.
