Difficult Problem - 1920 x 1080 not able to be displayed on HD monitor

Hi, over the last week I've been searching for an answer to a problem involving my computer ( hp pavilion p6-2316 ) and my monitor (LG Electronics 24MA32D 24-Inch LED-Lit 1080p 60Hz Tv). I recently installed a new graphics card hoping to get a higher resolution monitor, and higher gaming performance ( XFX AMD Radeon HD 7750 1GB GDDR5 ) This card has an HDMI port on it and my monitor goes up to 1080p.

Drivers for the graphics card and the monitor are up to date / cant be updated

The 60hertz is the only option, and that check box cannot be touched.

My screen resolution is recommended to be at 1366x768 and for a good reason, if it is at 1920 x 1080 the picture is surrounded by a black border and the picture is nearly unreadable.

I personally thought it could be a problem with my motherboard not supporting 1080p or not being fully compatible with the graphics card.

ANOTHER THING. This part could be important. Every time I turn my system on my power button turns orange and I hear 6 beeps, then it turns on. I thinks this a compatibility issue between the motherboard and the gpu. I could be mistaken.

No compatibility issue, you either need to turn Overscan on/off (can't remember which) in the AMD Catalyst Control Center, or if your monitor is actually a TV try and change the screen Format (should have options like H-Fill, True, Zoom, Normal, etc...).

I did the overscan thing, it didn't do anything though. I did set the screen to 1920 x 1080 and I changed the aspect ration to cinema zoom. The black border was gone but the image still looks awful.
