Good day to all!

I'm saving to build a budget gaming pc and plan to take it 1 "BABY" step at a time because of VERY limited funds. So I plan to start with a motherboard upgrade.( I currently have a ECS GeForce6100PM-M2 V2.0). I know that I will also need to change the memory sticks that I have to ddr3 modules. So my question is...

Will the asrock 990fx etreme3 be compatible with the Athlon II 2x 250 3.0Ghz or say the least run it?
