Hi,
I am planning to build a dream pc but have got some confusions regarding what to buy and what not to.
(1) CPU:
Intel Core i7 Extreme 4960X (HASWELL)
OR Intel Core i7-4930K 3.40GHz Hex core (IVY BRIDGE)
OR some other equivalent????
DIfference b/w IVY BRIDGE AND HASWELL?
worth to spend more?

(2) RAM:
Corsair Dominator Platinium 32GB 2400Mhz
Or
Corsair Venganence 32GB 2400MHz???
Or other??? Does this make significant difference?

(3) Motherboard;
Confused between msi z87 boards and
Asus Maximus VI Formula C2 Motherboard (attracting me due to its inbuild liquid cooling)
{or Please suggest me some good one}

(4) GPU: MSI Nvidia GTX 780Ti 3GB DDR5 384-bit Graphics Card

(5) Cooling: Corsair Hydro H110 (Liquid cooling)

(6) Case: NZXT Technologies Phantom 630 Case

(7) Hardisk: Seagate 2TB 7200RPM
SSD: OCZ Vector 256GB
Samsung 840 PRO 128GB
(for raid)

I am Studying Architecture and keen in playing games (Crysis 3, COG, Assassins creed, etc)
so Basically my main usage is for
3D Modelling i.e in Autodesk 3DS Max, MAYA and RHINO and ultimately for gaming. (And some un intensive softwares such as photoshop, sketchup microsoft office)

Hoping to get my answer here.
Please help me:)

Thanks
Karan

fist both them cpu's are ivybridge and the ram is no difference and dont need that high clocked ram unless you trying get on the top benchmark list and you need a x79 motherboard for extreme cpus socket 2011 unless you get haswell 4770k or i5's socket 1150 and gou alright and cpu cooler ,case and its best to get the same ssd for raid and performance and matters well get 4tb hdd make sure the gtx 780 ti is alright for the 3d modeling applications most of time its alright but since you spending this much money ask for a second opinion on the gtx 780 ti on autodesk site cause i do inventor and cad and gpus dont work well with them so its best to ask and i hope help you in time before you went out and brought them items cause they no compatible with each other

1) Just get the 4930k. The 4930x isn't worth the added cost. Both are ivy chips.
2) Neither. I would just pick up some Gskill ddr3 1600 unless there is an 1866 or 2133 kit really close in price.
3)You need an x79 board for the CPU's listed. ASRock X79 Extreme6 would work
4) Fastest single gaming GPU you can buy right now. I would wait and see what the custom cooled R9 290 and 290x's do first though. For a $100 more you could have 2 R9 290's that would game far better.
5) should be fine
6) cases are personal taste
7 Avoid the OCZ SSD's

Yes, but 2 x R9 290X = 4 GB of memory (despite the fact that 1 x R9 290X has 4 GB of memory, the memory won't get bigger when a second card is added in Crossfire) and HD 7990 = 6 GB of memory, which makes it a bit more future proof.

Actually you only get 3gb usable since it is just 2, HD 7970's packed onto one board.

So uptil now, due to incompatibility (which i did not observe ) I need to change things
Either to change processor or change motherboard
Here is what i found:

(1) Downgrade Processor options I7- 4770
Pros- saves $200
Cons- Hex core in I7- 4930K (LGA2011)

OR

Different Motherboard option i.e to go for ASUS x79 Deluxe http://www.asus.com/Motherboards/X79DELUXE
Pros
8x dimm for 64GB (2800Mhz) OC

Cons
- Misses inbuilt liquid cooling (as Maximus VI Formula had)
- inbuilt SoundFx system
-misses ROG armor stuff

If any other noteworthy option other than this please brief,
and can u guys please provide also opinions for a decent Keyboard
Really confused.

Again: My PC usage mainly will be for
3D Modelling i.e in Autodesk 3DS Max, Maya, AutoCAD, REVIT and , Photoshop and ultimately for Gaming (crysis3, assasins creed3,etc)
(sketchup microsoft office)

These guys seem to know what they're talking about with the build so I'll try to not add to the confusion as far as that goes. For a keyboard, you probably want to get a mechanical keyboard, they are much more durable and overall better for gaming. You want to figure out what kind you want, but the top 3 for gaming are cherry black, red, and brown, in that order. Black is standard, it takes a bit more pressure to press keys than a standard membrane keyboard (though you don't have to push them all the way down), and has no tactile feedback, and is not clicky. This means you do not feel when the key actuates, and it does not click as you type, though it is still noisy because of the keys being pushed back up. Red is just like black but takes LESS pressure than a membrane keyboard. Brown takes less pressure than a membrane, slightly more than a red, and is tactile but not clicky. You want to stay away from clicky keys when gaming, as they make double-tapping difficult. Backlighting and touchscreens are difficult to find with mechanical keyboards, you have the TTEsports Poseidon, which is only blue, or Thermaltake's other mechanical keyboard, the G-Unit, which has minimal backlighting, unless you get the illuminated for another $20, which is limited to a black keyboard with red lighting. Coolermaster also has nice mechanical keyboards, with red, blue, and brown switches. Corsair's are a bit more expensive for a full keyboard like the K95 which only has the red, and it has blue backlighting. I would personally go with a TT Esports G-unit, it's what I use, and I could throw it off my roof and it would probably be fine.

"Ergonomic" keyboards are awful for gaming, slow you down, and can actually cause worse strain, and they suck for gaming. They're also bad for gaming. If you get a normal keyboard and get carpel tunnel, it is most likely caused by other medical issues, or just really terrible typing posture.
