land oil rigs radio operator's duties

hi,this is Royston. can anyone give me some information about radio operator's/administrator duties and responsibilities in an land oil rig and some other rig information would be much appreciated. coz i'll be going for an interview in the next week. so guys plz help me out.thanks in advance....

I've never heard of a land oil rig radio operator. I know there's offshore radio operators. I guess you could possibly mean operating the entrance and radio on some of the lease or ice roads. If so then that job is mostly making sure everyone coming on to site has the proper tickets, the vehicle is outfitted properly, the job their doing, what site they're going to, and the duration of time they'll be on site. It pretty much entails sitting in a little shack watching a bunch of vehicles passing by and recording license plates.
