I have an old Hp Pavilion from a few years back. It has a pretty crappy graphics card, and it needs a new hard drive. I want to play games like skyrim and Battlefield 3/4. I know that I need a stronger graphics card. I already have a hard drive nailed down, so I just need a graphics card, and I want a new case for the parts.

I'm guessing that your HP had an nvidia 7600 Go. Now, you should get a GTX 760. It will be light-years ahead of it. For the case I'd go for the Corsair 200R. It's good and cheap. You should be able to find both for under $250.

What power supply (PSU) do you have? Most HP desktops have a PSU ranging between 250w to 350w. What is your budget for the graphics card?

Assuming you have a 300w PSU and a low budget, I recommend the following Radeon HD 7750 DDR5 1GB graphics card for $55 after rebate.

If you have a 350w PSU, then you can buy the following Radeon HD 7790 DDR5 1GB for $70. The cheapest with DDR5 2GB is $130.

If you have a 250w PSU, then I recommend you upgrade it.

I am not entirely sure on wattage. I believe it is 400w, but most likely is 350w

I have a NVidia GeForce 7100 for graphics. I have looked at the 760 before, and I thought about it, but I still need to find one for the right price. As far as cases go, any case for 50 or below will work that is medium size will work

For the case get the Corsair 200R. It is about the price you mentioned. The GTX 650 will work well, but it isn't very powerful for Battlefield 4. If I were you, I'd save and get at least the GTX 660 which is much better.
