Hey guys,

So recently I got a system exchange from Dell, so let me tell you what my previous system had and what they have given me now. I want to know if this is considered an equal exchange as they told me at Dell I am suppose to get equal or better parts in my new computer.

Old system:

6 GB ( 3 x 2 GB ) Kingston Hyper X 1866 Mhz PC3 14000 DDR3 SDRAM

New System:

16 GB ( 4 x 4 GB ) Samsung Green Ram 1600 Mhz PC3 12800 DDR3 SDRAM

I understand that they upgraded my amount of memory, but the type of memory has changed. What I am wanting to know is if this is a fair exchange, or should I have been replaced with 1866 Mhz memory? The old Kingston memory I used to have had really cool looking blue heat spreaders on them and I think were considered performance desktop memory. The new Samsung memory are just naked with no heat spreaders and as far as I know they are just regular desktop memory modules.

I appreciate it if anyone can let me know if this sounds okay as the memory is coupled with the Ivybridge E extreme processor. So I just assumed it should have really good memory to go with it as this is a gaming rig.

Thanks for your time guys. Have a great day.
