Improvement over a GTX 560 2gb

I currently have a GTX 560 2gb graphics card with a default clock setting of 820mhz, and memory clock at 2004mhz.

I generally run my current card overclocked to 975mhz, and memory at 2200mhz and up my voltage from 1.025 to 1.1 and it runs stable and under 70c when gaming, but newer games have been causing my computer to struggle with higher settings.

I'm looking for a new card that will beat my current one and hopefully within a 250$ or so budget. I've looked at the GTX 670, but I'm really unsure if the difference between it and my current card would be that noticeable, and worth spending 200-250$. Aside from that I'm unsure about what other cards to consider, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Other system specs:
AMD Phenom II X4 965 BE clocked at 3.7GHz
16GB Corsair Vengeance RAM
Win7 64-bit home premium
1100w corsair PSU
1TB Seagate Baracuda 7200rpm HDD

SSD's have zero impact on ingame FPS, they only affect load times. A 670 would be a huge improvement over a 560, twice as fast if not more. 760 and 7950 are also a good choices in that price range, there is little difference between them. However, you may want to consider a CPU upgrade in the future, 670 is a fast card and should be paired with an equally fast processor, what you have isn't far off though.

760 is better purely on the basis of the cooler, but the MSI Gaming is currently the best 760 cooler, quietest and coolest.

If you can find a 670 with a full size cooler that wouldn't be a bad choice, they are a touch faster than a 760 (10% if that) and generally are able to overclock better as 760's are already quite highly clocked, especially the memory. Not worth spending more than an extra $50 on though. Then again, that DirectCUII Mini isn't by any means a bad cooler, certainly better than the reference design, if you don't really care that much about noise theres no reason to not go with it.

Noise doesn't bother me in the slightest. The thing that concerned me about the small form factor card is, would I be able to overclock it well, or would the cooler cause it issue? Saving 50$ and going with the 670 would be nice, especially if it performs better. I've just never used a small form factor card before so I'm unsure about what effects that might have.

I've looked for a full size 670, and found this: http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2941924&CatId=7387

Same price as the 760 basically. Never used Tigerdirect before, but I've heard good things about it. Leaning towards this 670, would it be a good choice?

Just bumping this to ask for another opinion or two, so far I've looked in to the GTX 670, and GTX 760, and am currently leaning towards the card linked in my above post, at 250$(The Asus GTX 760)

Any other suggestions would be appreciated, as well as opinions of the GTX 760 as compared to a GTX 560(2gb). In video games such as Skyrim with a graphics ENB would I expect a significant boost in FPS? I know many of those graphical mods are heavily reliant on VRAM and both cards have the same amount, though obviously the 760 has MUCH faster memory clock speed. Currently in Skyrim with my mods I get around 25-30fps consistently when overclocking my GPU and about 20-25 without overclocking, if the 760 could boost that to a consistent 40fps before overclocking I would be VERY pleased with the purchase.

Again, thank you for any help, and cookybiscuit thank you for the help you have given already.

I just ran across this card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814500307

It's a Zotac 760 AMP! Factory overclocked, and the price difference compared to the above linked ASUS is a mere $10. I have owned 2 cards from Zotac in the past, including my current one and have been happy with them previously.

If anyone else can confirm that a GTX 760 is a good card as far as price/performance goes in the 250$ price range I would appreciate it greatly. If so I am very likely going to be getting this card.
