Upgrading my 2 SLI 560 TI's, looking to buy a single card.

I want to upgrade to a single card, but I am having troubles comparing video cards. AnandTech doesn't have much choices as far as comparing SLI 560 TI's to anything newer such as a 770 GTX.

So, I am sort of flying blind. I want to spend under $500 for a video card, but I am unsure how much better something like a 2GB 770 GTX would be over 2 560 TI's. I want a card that will be a noticeable upgrade from these two, not just something to break even. Does anybody have some good recommendations for a card under $500 that can retire two 1 GB SLI 560 TI's?

Thank you very much, sir. Comparing the 660TI to the 770, it looks like a pretty nice upgrade overall. The bump to the 780 doesn't feel worth the price, so I think I will get this guy:

the 4GB looks like a sweet deal over the 2GB ones, but I really don't know how that extra GB manifests itself visually. Higher numbers has to mean better, right? :p

As far as VRAM goes, no not always.

just games that can utilise it bf4 @1080p will use over 2gb of vram so if your monitor is higher 1440p it will start eating more vram up and so fourth.

I am running 1440p. The GB is how much information it can display at one time? If that's the case I can see why 1440p would be more intensive. Do you think 4 GB is plenty for 1440p?
