Hello!

So im looking to build my first PC. I've posted a thread on this already but my budget changed so some new advice on a good build would be nice.

Budget: $1000/£600
Needed for: Video Rendering, Minecraft, general gaming (YouTube)
OS: Not Needed
Extra Requirements: Triple Monitor setup compatible, at least 1 SSD, Intel CPU (i7 preferred), 8gb minimum RAM (preferred 16gb), wireless

Can anyone recommend a good build? Thanks so much for any replies!

Firstly, what country are you in? If you are in the UK, our prices don't translate terribly well into dollars, some things are relatively more expensive than others.

Secondly, what are you trying to do with your triple monitor setup? Are you trying to play games at (for example) 5760*1080, or are you intending to game on one monitor and use the rest for other things?
You only mention Minecraft, which is pretty low end in terms of system requirements, and not really representative of modern games.

Also, do you want to overclock?

I live in the UK. Which is rather annoying as i missed out on the black friday deals since i was busy all day. I thought today (Cyber Monday) would be on amazon UK but its not. On amazon US, theres a bargain on the i7 4770k but i cant get it in the uk :mad:

I just realised i havent included the price for monitors etc, but i have found lying around 2 500GB HDDs, (still want 1 ssd) and i have an optical drive as well as a wireless USB card. So for the actual build maybe £500 UK budget?

I will most likely play games on 1 monitor, then have twitter and video rendering etc on the others. It would be nice to have a good enough gpu to run the monitors and be able to video edit etc now, then in future get another of the same gpu so i could play max spec games across all 3 monitors.

I dont plan to overclock.

I don't like being negative, but your budget is ambitious to the point of impossible.

i7+motherboard = £300
SSD = £50minimum (realistically quite a bit more if you want a 120Gb)
PSU = £50
Case = £50 (can shave a few pounds here, but not a whole lot)
Memory = £50 (for 8Gb)

That is your entire budget gone, and that is before you even look at graphics cards. So, you are going to have to have a rethink somewhere. Either you move away from i7 builds or you increase the budget.

Personally, I think £600 is a much healthier budget for what you want to achieve (though still an i7 is pushing it). If it were me, I'd take the build below and upgrade the CPU to an FX8350 and the graphics to a HD7950.

If your focus is stuff like Minecraft then you don't need to spend much on graphics, but if you want to run the latest games well, then something like a HD7950 would be a really nice value addition. If you really want to drop the price under £500, then going to a HD7850 would solve this.

At that price? Nope. I have a GTX660, and it's a decent card but it's just not worth that. You can pick up a HD7870 or GTX660 for £135-140. GTX760s and HD7950s start at £180 and are significantly better.
Pretty much any graphics card can handle 3 monitors, as even the more basic ones have three outputs. The thing you need to watch out for is what those outputs are, as they vary from card to card.
On a HD7950 it's usually 1 DVI, 1 HDMI, 2 Display Port
On a GTX760 (and a lot of Nvidia cards) it's usually 2 DVI, 1 HDMI, 1 Display Port
Lower level cards will often swap one of those for a VGA.
