Hi I'm buying a new video card for gaming , I have limited budget so I can't decide which card should I buy GTX 650 TI boost 1GB or GTX 650 TI 2GB ? I have 1080p monitor and as i know 2 gig version will be better for it but when i look at tech specs, 1 gb boost version is better then normal 2 gb version. please help me to make a decision. btw I have intel core 2 duo e 8400 and 4GB ram, I'm planning to build a new pc but until I'll buy other parts will one of these cards work and give a boost to my pc? thank you

The 1GB card is just a bit overclocked whereas the 2GB model doesn't. Since both card uses the same chipset you can get the 1GB cards performance...

I thinks the same, but tech specs are much better in 1GB better and that's the only thing that's make me think

GTX 650 Boost 1GB:

Base Clock: 980 MHz
Boost Clock: 1033 MHz
Memory Clock: 6008 MHz Effective
CUDA Cores: 768
Memory: 1GB GDDR5 192bit

GTX 650 TI 2GB:

Core Clock: 928
Memory Clock: 5400 MHz
Cuda Cores: 768
PCI-Express 3.0
2048MB GDDR5 128 Bit

The 1GB card is just a bit overclocked whereas the 2GB model doesn't. Since both card uses the same chipset you can get the 1GB cards performance edge on the 2GB card by just overcloking the card a bit + you have 2GB GDDR5 onboard advantage.
There may be overclocked versions of 2GB 650Ti that you can consider also..............

Thank you, I've been thinking for days which one should I buy, so I'll buy 2 GB version and btw it won't have problems with core 2 duo e 8400 and will it give much more fps on newer games? I'm planning to upgrade whole PC soon but for a while I'll be using core 2 duo with 4GB ram, currently I'm using GT 630 4GB and I've been able to play arkham origins and ghosts on mid-high settings

With core 2 duo you cant play modern games like BF4, crysis 3 smoothly for sure. Since you are upgrading then its okay for temporarily using the GPU on older machine.

Get the 2GB. Your games will stutter like crazy using 1GB at 1080p. 1GB just enough enough for modern games these days. Might I suggest that you can get the GTX 650Ti Boost with just about $20 more than the regular 650Ti . At 1080p the performance with the Boost is about a 50% increase.
