I am trying to figure out what I should get for my build. Like case, fans, or other related things. I already have a 600GB HD and a disk drive so those are not a problem. I would like to keep this build as cheap and effective as possible.

Here is what I have or plan on getting:
Intel Core i5-3570K Ivy Bridge (Planning on buying)
CORSAIR CX series CX600 600W (Planning on buying)
MSI Z87-G41 PC Mate LGA 1150 Intel Z87 (Planning on buying)
SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7870 Ghz Edition (Already owned)
Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 (Already owned)

I would like to be able to over-clock this PC.

If anyone has any good suggestions for what I should get or replace please respond, or if you have just want to make a statement. Thank you.

buy haswell chip i5 4670K and Z87 motherboard from asus or gigabyte ...

gigabyte Z87 (at least Z87-HD3 , ideally Z87X D3H)
scythe mugen 4 / CM hyper 212+ evo
corsair carbide 300R
XFX core edition pro power supply 550/650w
120gb ssd crucial m500 / samsung 840 evo - for your operating system and some programs /
or if you are on tight budget you can buy cheaper 1TB mechanical drive and add ssd later ...

Samsung EVO 120GB is not a good SSD. Really slow write speeds.
Much better is sandisk ultra plus 128GB or bigger 256GB. is really cheap.
Near same price as samsung pro 128GB do have. It is really good buy.

Other good psu is rosewill cappstone 750w now.

Much better qualitry than cheap corsair or seasonic (xfx) do have.

This is 550w review. But 750w is same quality as the 550w.

samsung evo in fact is very good and reliable ssd , same goes for crucial M500 or older M4 ...
rosewill capstone are great units but he doesn´t need 750w power supply for this build ...
(but for that price why not...)
XFX are relatively cheap and reliable units made by seasonic ...

Do not tell joke about samsung evo. It is not good. Cheap memory controller.
It is the slowest SSD on write speeds. It is a TLC chip. MLC is better.

I would rather have an EVO or 840 Pro.

The EVO and the Pro are the 2 best SSD's I've owned.

All still running flawless.

So would a 600w psu be enough for this build, or not?

What would you recommend then? I thought Corsair was a decent PSU company.
