Hello guys, about to change my slow Seagate HDD on my laptop to SSD but I do not know what to get? So I reached to 2 different brands of SSD. So which should I get? The SanDisk Ultra Plus 128GB or Plextor M5S 128GB?
The random reads are nearly identical but the writes of the Plextor are much better than the sandisk. Unless the sandisk has a better warranty I'd go with Plextor.
I maintain the ssd database listed in a sticky at the very top of this forum section. The database includes the Plextor and SanDisk models you are interested in. Here is the link:
Scroll down to the brands and models you are interested and then follow the links to the technical reviews. There are quite a few reviews for both ssd's.

But from what I can see online, the latency on the plextor is very high :/ and the power consumption is important too.
