Would I get better frame rate with this resolution ?

Would I get more frames per second at 1440 x 900 resolution (my monitor only goes to that) or buy a new monitor that does 1920 x 1080 ? Or would their be hardly any difference in fps? (Game that I would play most is bf4)

the higher the resolution, the harder it is on your PC. So you'd be looking at less FPS at 1080p.
