I just purchased a 500GB 840 Evo on Newegg Black Friday sale to add more space for my games. I am trying to decide if I should use it as strictly a gaming drive or OS and gaming drive all in one. I currently have 72 GB used on my OS drive. My plan was to make the 840 Evo my Steam drive and use my 256 GB drive for Origin. My MB only has two SATA 6GB ports so I would have to rotate drives based on what game I wanted to play prior to boot up. Please share your opinion. Here are my system stats:

i5-2500K (4.5Ghz)
Asus P8Z68V-Pro MB
16GB Corsair Vengeance 1600mhz
XFX 1250W PSU
EVGA 670 FTW x2
128GB Samsung 830 SSD (OS drive)
256GB Samsung 830 SSD (Games drive)
500GB Samsung 840 EVO
Samsung Spinpoint F3 1TB x3 (Media)
NZXT 810 switch

I think that's the exact one I have. I read somewhere that Trim is not supported. What is the max transfer speed on pci-e x1 tho?
