AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition @ 3.4 ghz

AMD Radeon r9 280x gpu
Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 mobo

hello, I recently upgraded to a r9 280x gpu in hopes of running BF4 and CoD:ghosts at a nice frame rate

currently with everything on high @ 1920x1080 resolution, i get around 30-35 fps in bf4

I have a kingston 212 cpu cooler so i OC'd my cpu to 3.8 ghz and it was very stable, after doing this I didn't see any significant increase in FPS

Anyone want to help with what's bottlenecking or holding me back from achieving nice fps? I am possibly going to upgrade the cpu (if i can find a decent one that's compatible with my AM3+ mobo) or a cpu + mobo combo if i can't find a good enough cpu

Any suggestions on what to upgrade to as well as any ideas on what's bottlenecking me would be greatly appreciated, thanks!
