there are a lot of rumors surrounding these (theoretical) dual-GPU cards, what do you (forum) think will be released first and which card will be the most powerful?

also what do you think will be the TDP and cooling solutions for these cards?

get 2 lightning r9 290x from msi

For a better explanation. If you plan on gaming at 4k get r9 since even a reference design one almost beats a nonrefference 780 ti.
2 r9 290x lightning versions will beat the crap out of anything they could throw on a 790 unless they make it with the new generation chips and give it more than 4 gb of memory.

For anything lower than 4k you do not need a dual GPU for any game. the only thing that comes to mind that might need a second gpu at a lower resolution to run on ultra would be StarCiticzen since they have said they are going way overboard with graphics in order to really push what a pc can handle.

As for the TDP for the 290x2 well.... dual core gpus tend to consume a bit less than 2 actual cards so my best guess is 80% of 290x tdp times 2
