Considering your preference this is the best card you should go for:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814125463

And also get a new PSU because that PSU is not a branded one and will surely be creating problems with a high TDP Graphics Card on board. So have a look at this link too:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139028

With a good GPU always get a good branded PSU or else you are asking for problems. Whatever PSU you want to get make sure it has got at least an 80 PLUS BRONZE certificate( min 600W for the GTX 770)

What about a Coolermaster 600W EPP psu?

if you want a decent cooler master unit you'll have to cough up some bucks, only their high end models are good (but only because they are essentially Seasonic rebrands)

the Corsair CX series is about as low as I would go with a few exceptions.

well for $400 your best performance you can buy is a r9 290. It is significantly more powerful than the 770. Problem is only reference designs are available right now and are external exhaust models known for being noisy. Sapphire, largest amd card company, says it hopes to have its own card out late december. I've been an nvidia owner my whole life, but for my last upgrade between a 280x or 770, I went with a 280x because it was cheaper and was better than the 770 in the games I cared about, and it runs them amazingly. So if you can wait I'd say 290 with a non reference design. Otherwise, maybe consider this 770 , the extra 2GB isn't really needed currently with your set up, but for future games or if you want to up your resolution then the extra RAM will make a difference.

or you could buy a 770 and use it until a reference 290 comes out then return the 770..........

The R9 290 is certainly a much better card. But whatever card you plan to buy(GTX 770 or R9 290) you seriously need to change that PSU. Cooler Master is the worst brand possible among the branded PSU companies. I got one 600W EXTREME POWER PLUS only to learn that it can only provide 450W of Output power and that too at 60% efficiency. Now that's what you call EXTREME, isn't it? Always go with Corsair and Antec. They made a name for themselves. And do remember that 80 PLUS BRONZE certificate. 80 PLUS GOLD is better.

Yeah. AMD has always been a value-for-money for me. They have always won the battles of prices waged against Intel and Nvidia...

What about Antec VP630F? Is it a good PSU?

It doesn't have an 80 PLUS Bronze rating. Better get one with 80 PLUS BRONZE at least!!

I saw that it has 80 Plus Bronze. Otherwise, what another PSU from Antec has 80 Plus Bronze? I'd buy an Antec PSU because it's more economical than Corsair. :)

>can't afford a 700 dollar card and a 200 dollar PSU, so must be poor

not sure if troll... get real dude, OP already stated that his budget was 400 dollars, a GTX 770 with a new PSU or a R9 290 would be the best he can do
