I havent used my monitor in a while and it wont get power from a DVI cable

The Computer is on but the HP 2311x monitor wont turn on
I have a Gigaware Dual link DVI cable connected to it

Check that the monitor is on the correct source (i.e. D-Sub or DVI). Also try connecting the DVI cable into another port to see if that will work.

How to know if it is on source if it wont turn on?

should be buttons to press at the side or bottom of your monitor.
