Surround sound or Headset

Hi!

I recently bought a Logitech G35 which has a 7.1 surround sound setting. So I was wondering what is best for gaming, using the surround sound setting or the headset setting?

I'm used to using headset because that's what I used before. I mostly play Battlefield 4 and Counter Strike Global Offensive.

What is your preference/opinion on this?
