use hdtv for split screen pc monitor

I want to use a 50" HDTV (LED) TV as a split screen computer monitor. The purpose is for me to see different windows in a stock trading program on the large screen. Ultimately a 4-screen split would be great. Is this possible to do?

You don't need to do anything fancy here, unless you are trying to put in video from different sources. If you are just going to use the TV with windows from the same computer, you can just tile the windows on the TV display.
