Hey guys,
My system is making a buzzing noise when running games. The noise responds to what I do. For instance, I can start up Shogun 2, and on the loading screen the buzzing starts. If I minimize the game, it stops. I believe the noise is coming from my PSU, but I am not sure. It buzzes on other games as well, but not nearly as much. It is barely audible unless you put your head by the computer.
a) Is this coil whine?
b) Is this the GPU, CPU, or MoBo?
c) Will running my computer with this buzzing noise cause any hardware damage?
d) Is there anything software-wise or otherwise I can do to make this stop?
I will probably RMA the component making the noise, just want to make sure I RMA the right part.
