Hey folks,

As stated above this is a crack at my first guild. My goal is a higher-end, Intel-based, gaming PC. I want it to be slightly "future-proofed" where it can be, and as high performance as I can get within a somewhat reasonable budget (around $1700ish, including a monitor), leaving room for upgrades later.

I'll be purchasing the parts at the end of this month, so prices/availability may change.

What I have picked out so far:
CPU - Intel Haswell i-7 4770k

Graphics Card - EVGA GTX 770

Monitor - Asus 24" HD

RAM - G.Skill Sniper 2x4gb 1866

PSU - 750w Corsair

HDD/SSD
WD Black 1TB / Kingston 128gb

MOBO - Asus Maximus VI Hero

Disk Drive - ASUS Blu-Ray Drive

CPU Cooler - Noctua NH-D14

And deciding between a Corsair Mid and Cooler Master Full case for it

After reading a few threads I'm considering downgrading the i-7 to an i-5 4670k, since I won't be performing any real video rendering (besides recording game footage some time in the future after purchasing a capture card)

Yeah, the intent was to SLI another gtx 770 a little down the road, so I may switch to the 850w as you suggested, downgrade to the i5 mentioned above, and go with the Corsair Mid tower. A coworker said he's used it in several builds he's done and it's a great case. I just wanted to be sure it would have enough room for the Noctua PSU cooler I'm planning on in addition to the SLI'd 770s.
