I'm just wondering what I should upgrade first to get better performance in my games.

500-600 range for everything. But what parts could I possibly still use for a decent gaming rig, if any.

You can build a nice rig for around $500-$600, there are hundreds of posts around this budget. My suggestion...

AMD 6300- $120
Asus M5A78L-M- $55
1TB WD HDD- $70
gskill ripjaws- depends on sizes (2x2gb is enough for almost all games $45)
asus gtx 650ti- $140
evga 500b- $35 after rebate
NZXT Phantom 410 (with fans)- $90
(optional) Cooler master hyper 212 plus- $30
total= ~$555-$585

You will easily run circles around your other build, but this is just what i would do, do some research and see whats right for what you want to do and good luck!
