Help choosing a monitor!

Hello all! Im in need of assistance choosing a 23' monitor with 1080p for gaming and movies, maximum 240 dollars. I really like the asus VX238H (but read some negative comments about window distortion while dragging and vertical lines) but otherwise would be perfect, 2 hdmi ports are awesome!, so i looked at the dell S2340L and P2314H (these are just slower with response time but i don't mind for an ips) , i would prefer Hdmi. Thank you for your help and please do recommend other brands as well

VS247H-P/VS248H-P (pending prices)?
I personally own and use an Asus VS 247H-P.
1080p, 2ms response, HDMI, 23.6".
I LOVE IT. Apart from the bit annoying cons, it was an amazing buy (cons: display is yellowish out of the box, but you can easily adjust it in the settings. Stand is also a bit flimsy).

I got it as an open box on Amazon for $135. I highly recommend it.

edit: There's actually one from Amazon Warehouse (reliable and where I ordered mine from) for $126.20 used.

Yeah i really like the vx238h's stand and they even said its sturdy, i checked the vs247H-P price is good, everything else is good, only problem are looks but if there's no alternative then i will buy Waiting for more!

Hmmm, i like the samsung that you posted, but afterreading all the reviews on amazon about the asus VX238H i think i'll settle with that one unless someone can recommend a waaay better one for the price! (Gonna buy on friday december 13. LOL)

Sooooo, i just went to the hardware store and they don't have the vx 238h anymore and won't ever, so i think im gonna buy the vx 239h for a bit more cash but an ips panel as well

Sounds good man, whatever makes you happy! Sometimes it's worth spending those extra bucks for what you want
