I have a question about monitors one for me and one for my friend for clarification.
I am currently running on a older
i5 2500k sandybridge,
xfx 7870 core edition.
8 gigs of corsair vengeance 1600hz ram
can my monitor take advantage of going past the 60fps with these monitors? or does my system HAVE to be able to hit those refresh rates. For example, i know someone who has 120hz monitor and to reach that limit he has to dumb down the details in games. My question is if i dont want to dumb down the details will those monitors allow me to run past 60 but not need 120 and still see the fps improvement in games?
second question: My friend has a gtx 670 sli setup.
i5 ivy bridge
gtx 670 sli
Can sli help him comes close to providing the 4k resolution on the newer monitors coming out like the dell ultrasharp. Refering to the one under the 30" they announced.
