After going on some rp forums I found this and questioned it all tech experts can contribute
Reading the whole thing will help this questioning make sense.

SDRAM DDR3,DDR2,DDR and DRAM
Exist not just SDRAM.

"oooh DDR4 has been rumored"

The modern memory capacity is 4 terabytes or if you add more hdds in it can go higher.

Also SSDs exist and have faster write speeds the hdds.

You didn't list a GPU which is required to do any form of graphical programming.

What no power supply how the hell does your characters pc even run.

Your characters pc has no mention of fans
this is where your rp become unrealistic.

What the hell no mentioning of a processor.

There's also no mention of what case your character has.

The RAM sizes are usually about 2gb 4gb 8gb 16gb and 32gb depends on how many sticks you slot in and how much memory each stick has.

---------------------
Her favorite thing to do on the computer was to go on the internet to chat and check out all the different websites. She would also work on a lot of programming, coming up with new ways to make her computers faster and have more hard drive space. So far, the most SDRAM a computer of hers has is 10GB, with 800GB HDD (Hard disk drive). She's good with other electronics besides computers too, and loves video games.

And finally what mobo does this character use and what socket eg LG1150.

.

This all goes to show that forums such as Tom's and others are populated with folks with varying knowledge of computers and differing levels of ability when it comes to expressing themselves in the English language. :D

@cyr Are you quoting a post out of its context?

@iceclock - do you use a 102 key keyboard?

It looks like the OP was citing examples of ridiculous-looking posts, without considering the cause. Language barriers produce unwieldy translations from time to time. Diagnostic questions usually bring this out and expose the real issue.

1 Im not asking for help

2 Yes I am quoting a source out of its context to merely state the fact that this know it all is an idiot and im making them look bad

3 Yes I know who wrote the source quoted and they're not such a nice person to talk to

4 This person acts like a total snob and know it all nothing to do with language barriers or expression

@Onus first of all this post came from a role play and the cause is to supposedly entertain English fanatics I mean the subject not the language and im merely making fun of this persons computer knowledge for personal reasons due to the relationship I had with this person which wasn't good

Oh, I wasn't complaining. As a user support specialist by profession, I've heard some pretty crazy questions. Just remember, the person asking might not know squat about computers, but may know MANY other things. This is particularly true of doctors and scientists.
