Is running a PC and a PS3 console on one monitor safe?

Hellloo there! I have a Dell U3014, 30 inch monitor with my PC connected with a dual link DVI and a PS3 console connected with a HDMI cable is it safe to have both powered on and connected to the monitor and swap between them from the menu/inputs on the monitor? Will there be any problems doing this like to much power going to the monitor and a melt down?

Monitors with multiple inputs are designed to work fine with signals on more than one input. I don't have that particular model, but I've used plenty of multiple-input monitors with more than one signal live at a time.

On the other hand, if it explodes I won't buy you a new one. My advice does not come with a guarantee.
