Please help with Office PC build

Hi guys,

I would like to buy a new PCs for my company as to upgrade a computers from XP to 8. The PCs are mostly used for excel, word and emailing. I am not sure whether to buy an i3 or i5 PC. My company have bought a windows 8 licenses and wish to install them to these new PCs. Could you guys please recommend me?

Also, I have some old Duo Core PCs and Atom I wonder is it able to install windows 8 and use fluidly?

Stick with the old duo cores.

with an i5 or i7 you'll only need it in heavier cpu usages, like video rendering.

other then that, for excel and simple programs you don't need to spend a lot for an i5 or i7
